| People typically
spend 90% of their time indoors. Concern over human exposure
to the pollutants found indoors, and their potentially adverse
effects on the health, productivity, comfort and well-being
of occupants, is therefore growing. In busy urban areas, the
overall exposure levels inside a building are likely to result
from pollutants generated within and outside the building.
Achieving good indoor air quality in Offices, therefore, depends
on minimising the impact of indoor sources, as well as reducing
pollutant ingress by effective design of the building and
operation of the ventilation system.

Air Quality
and Energy Efficiency
|
Our
systems are selected to ensure optimum energy efficiency and
excellent indoor air quality. A key factor in ensuring a health
indoor environment in an urban area is to correctly filter
the outdoor air of the myriad of airborne contaminants usually
found in built up areas. We guarantee that our systems will
provide the correct amounts of fresh air to meet the recommended
levels as defined by the World Health Organisation and CIBSE.
It is now generally accepted that Hybrid (Natural/Mechanical)
ventiation systems is the most energy efficeint and healthy
method of ventilating buildings. By using openable windows
alone to provide fresh air to a building, it is almost impossible
to balance the comforts of the occupants close to the window
with the fresh air requirements of all those located further
away, especially in windy, cold, wet and noisy conditions.

Energy
Recovery
|
With average
outdoor temperatures of 9.5 Deg C. approximately, this means
that throughout the year the fresh air required within the
building has to be heated up by at least 10 Deg C, on average,
before it is supplied to the occupants of a building. Therefore
it is crucial that this heat is recovered when the air is
leaving the building and transferred into the incoming fresh
air, cutting fresh air heating bills by up to 90%. In buildings
where 'Natural Ventilation' is implemented, it makes perfect
sense to reclaim the valuable heat from the outgoing air,
and not simply exhausting the heat from the building through
a window or roof stack.

Free Cooling
Systems
|
Using Chilled
beams, we can provide full free cooling systems. Cold water
from underground can be used instead of Chilled Water to achieve
comfortable conditions indoors, even in the warmest of Irish
summers!
